Can you help out Concord softball players with a donation to get to Florida to compete in the Babe Ruth World Series?

CONCORD, NH — The Cedar Mill Group Capital Area Cyclones softball team has earned a spot in the Babe Ruth World Series. The event will begin in Florida in late July and a GoFundMe.com site has been set up to raise $30,000 to help the team get there. The team – 12 players and their coaches – earned the spot after going 6-0 to win the 10U Division at the Memorial Day Softball tournie in Londonderry.

The team outscored its opponents, 81-6, according to organizers.

The league is made up of players from nine different leagues in Concord, Bow, Hopkinton, Hooksett, Suncook, Merrimack Valley, and Chichester. Six of the teams are represented on the 10U all star team.

At post time, the site had raised more than $3,100.
