Inmate Roy Back in Prison

New Hampshire Department of Corrections reports that Stephen Roy is back behind bars.

A walkway from a minimum security transitional housing unit is back in jail, according to the New Hampshire Department of Corrections.

Inmate Stephen Roy, 27, walked away from the New Hampshire Department of Corrections Transitional Work Center in Concord on July 3, 2015, and was returned to the New Hampshire State Prison July 15, 2015.

According to Public Information Officer Jeffrey J. Lyons, there are no further details about his apprehension at this time.

Roy was sentenced in Strafford County Superior Court for robbery and received a three- to 10-year prison sentence with 294 days of time served credited to his sentence. He was admitted to the N.H. State Prison on Nov. 5, 2013, and is eligible for parole on Jan. 14, 2016, according to the alert. His maximum release date is Jan. 16, 2023.
