Joint Concord-Manchester Child Sexual Abuse Images Investigation Leads To Concord Heights Arrest

CONCORD, NH — A former Queen City resident, under suspicion of possessing child pornography in that community, was arrested in Concord on five felony counts after a multi-week, dual jurisdiction investigation, according to court documents.

On Oct. 31, 2025, a Concord detective was assigned to investigate two cybertips received by the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children from late April 2025. The files were reportedly uploaded a few days earlier and found by Synchronoss Technologies, the cloud hosting service used by Verizon. The information, the Concord detective said, came from a Manchester police lieutenant, who believed the suspect involved in the case had moved to the capital city from the Queen City.

Manchester police were initially assigned the case in mid-July 2025.

The first upload was a single image of three boys engaged in sexual activity. The second upload involved 19 files, including several videos of boys being raped by men.

The suspect in the case was Casey David Murphy, 32, of North Reading Street in Manchester, according to an affidavit. A check of the phone number associated with the uploaded files also showed it was his phone, according to police.

According to the affidavit, in late December 2025, Pembroke police contacted Murphy regarding motor vehicle offenses, and during their encounter with him, they noted his current address was Prescott Street in Concord. The detective said Murphy told the Pembroke officer he worked at Pine Haven Boys Center in Allenstown, a private, nonprofit intensive residential facility that cares for boys, aged 6 to 15, with behavioral, educational, or emotional problems, according to its website. Police confirmed Pine Haven was “a residential facility where juvenile males and staff may stay overnight,” the report stated.

“This information (was) of concern as the video files reported in the cyber tips all depicted juvenile males,” the detective wrote.

The phone number Murphy gave to Pembroke police was also the same number that was involved in the uploads, the affidavit said.

The detective then requested a search warrant for Murphy’s apartment and Jeep.

Two detectives also interviewed Murphy, who was accused of admitting he struggled with being attracted to children, specifically teens between the ages of 13 and 19. Casey also “admitted that he obtained child sexual abuse images by using Telegram, Snapchat, and Reddit,” the affidavit stated, and said more files, about 20, of adults raping children, could be found in the gallery folder of his Google Pixel cellphone. Murphy also admitted he knew what he was watching was wrong and confirmed the phone number involved in the Verizon uploads was his, the affidavit said.

Murphy’s cellphone was seized and later, during an extraction, several .mp4 video files were found, the report said.

Murphy was arrested on Dec. 24, 2025, on five felony counts of possession of child sexual abuse images. He was appointed a public offender, was arraigned, and detained. A probable cause hearing was held on Jan. 2.

The case was boundover to Merrimack County Superior Court from Concord District Court on Jan. 5. Murphy was held on preventive detention. He is due back in court for a dispositional conference on March 19.
