Kasich to Speak to Business Leaders, Reps on May 6

Current Ohio governor, possible first-in-the-nation Republican New Hampshire primary candidate will speak in Concord at The Barley House.

The New Hampshire House Business Caucus, in partnership with the Greater Concord Chamber of Commerce, will host its second Business Roundtable with a potential candidate for president at noon on Wednesday, May 6, at The Barley House restaurant in downtown Concord.

Carly Fiorina, a businesswoman and potential Republican candidate, was in Concord this week. Next week, it will be Ohio Gov. John Kasich, another Republican.

State Rep. Laurie Sanborn, R-Bedford, the founder and chairwoman of the caucus, said there was “a terrific response and level of interest in this series from both the business community and elected officials” and the org was “thrilled to provide an opportunity for them to learn more about the candidates’ specific ideas for improving the business climate and economy.”

Tim Sink, the president of the chamber, agreed.

“Our members really enjoyed the first Business Roundtable, and are looking forward to this one and all future events,” he said. “This is the best way for businesses to really get to know the candidates and understand their positions on key issues.”

Kasich was in Concord in March where he spent more than an hour answering questions at the Politics and Pie event after speaking at the NH IOP Politics and Eggs event.
