Loudon Man Arrested for OUI After Crash
Evan Kowalski allegedly struck a sidewalk, snow bank, and crashed into some bushes while trying to elude Manchester Police.

A local man was arrested this morning after allegedly speeding on I-293, nearly crashing into cars on an off ramp, before ending up in some bushes, according to Manchester Police.
Evan Kowalski, 24, of Loudon Ridge Road in Loudon, was arrested at around 1:30 a.m. on Jan. 24, 2015, and charged with aggravated operating under the influence and disobeying a police officer.
According to a report, an officer observed a Subaru Legacy take an exit off I-293 at a high rate of speed and then, fail to stop at the stop sign of the intersection of I-293 and Harvell Street (the same location of a gruesome accident earlier this week).

The officer reported that the vehicle also failed to stop for both northbound and southbound traffic that was driving on Second Street. The officer attempted to pull the Subaru over. It reportedly slowed down but then, accelerated at a high rate of speed away from the officer.
“The suspect vehicle then struck a sidewalk and snow bank at a high rate of speed causing the vehicle to be airlifted,” according to Mark Ampuja, an officer with the Manchester Police Department. “The suspect vehicle continued westerly into the backyard of 559 S. Main St driving through two large bushes continuing into the backyard of 559 S. Main St. The suspect vehicle then stopped and started to reverse towards the direction of the police cruiser but did finally come to a stop.”
