Man From Concord Accused Of Making Knife Threats Against A Woman, Her Friends
Larry Abbott Jr. was arrested on deadly weapon, threat, and criminal mischief charges after an incident last month on Manchester Street.

CONCORD, NH — A man from Concord is facing felony charges after being accused of making threats with a knife and other incidents last month.
Around 2:45 p.m. on Feb. 10, officers were sent to a manufactured home on Manchester Street for a report of a domestic incident. The calling party, a woman, claimed Larry Abbott Jr., 23, had “threatened to kill her” and others, an affidavit said. He had also called her friends and threatened to tie them up and rape them, the report said.
Before police arrived, Abbott had fled the residence, the report stated.

Police interviewed the woman, and she reportedly recorded the threats with a cellphone, an officer wrote. Abbott, however, did not provide a means of how he would harm everyone, according to the report. The officer confirmed in the report there was an argument, and Abbott said he wanted to rip a door off its hinges. In the video, the officer wrote, Abbott grabbed a door, opened it, and then pulled the door off its hinges.
The officer confirmed the recording date and time were about 20 minutes before they arrived, a report said.

The damage to the door was estimated to be about $200.
About an hour and 45 minutes later, police were called back to the home for another disturbance, reportedly involving Abbott.
The victim accused Abbott of threatening to slit her throat with a knife. He was also hiding under the house, the affidavit said. Officers arrived and searched the area. One officer observed a skirt panel removed from the manufactured home and a trail of footprints leading away from the home.
The woman was interviewed and again presented video footage to officers about the incident, an officer wrote. The camera was covered for part of the time, the report said. In the recording, an officer claimed Abbott admitted to hiding under the home before police arrived during the first call. He also said he changed his shirt while hiding, the report said.
“I’m not going to get arrested for this stupid bull----,” he said, according to the report.
The damage to the skirt was estimated to be about $50.
A few minutes later, Abbot was recorded saying, “I only have this f------ knife in case some f------- a------- tries to stab me,” according to an affidavit.
A few minutes later, Abbott was recorded making the threat, according to the affidavit.
“Larry opens the door, turns around, looks at (the victim), and states, ‘I’m going to slit your throat, b----’,” the officer wrote, according to the video footage.
Officers eventually found Abbott hiding behind the Cumberland Farms gas station on Manchester Street, according to the report, and he was wearing the same clothes as in the video.
Abbott was charged with felony criminal threatening-deadly weapon, felony domestic violence-criminal threat, attempted criminal mischief, and criminal mischief charges. He was held without bail.
On Feb. 11, Judge Ryan Guptill found probable cause to move forward with the case, according to court documents.
On Feb. 12, a bail hearing was held.
