CONCORD, NH — A man from Madison was killed during an incident involving a dump truck Friday, according to state police.

Troopers were sent to Access Road in Middleton around 2 p.m. for a report of a man stuck under a truck. When they arrived, Wakefield fire and rescue teams determined the man, William Miners III, 53, had succumbed to injuries after the 2012 F-550 rolled backward onto him.

Multiple agencies assisted troopers at the scene, including members of the Wakefield police, the fire rescue department, the New Hampshire Office of the Chief Medical Examiner, OSHA, and Crowell’s Towing & Repair, Dumont said.

Manchester Woman Injured During Rollover

A woman from the Queen City was taken to the hospital after a crash on Interstate 293 Thursday.

Around 2:30 p.m., state troopers and Manchester fire and rescue teams were sent to a crash on the southbound side of the highway on the Brown Avenue overpass. The driver, Alexandria Ellis, 53, of Manchester, was found trapped inside a 2004 Ford Explorer, which had rolled. She was freed by firefighters and taken to Elliot Hospital with minor injuries.

No other vehicles were involved in the incident, Dumont said.

The southbound lanes were closed for about 20 minutes during the extrication while the right lane was closed for about two hours while fencing was repaired on the overpass.

The preliminary investigation indicates the crash may have been the result of a mechanical issue, but anyone who witnessed the crash is asked to contact Trooper Sanches at Luan.G.Sanches@dos.nh.gov.

Multi-Vehicle Crash In Westmoreland

The New Hampshire State Police are investigating a multi-vehicle crash that led to two people being taken to the hospital on Sunday afternoon in Westmoreland.

Just after 12:30 p.m., state troopers were sent to Route 12 near River Road North for a three-vehicle crash. When they arrived, they found a 2018 Toyota Sienna, a 1980 Fiat Spider, and a 2002 Ford F-350 had been involved in the crash. State police determined after an investigation that Kim Carrier, 46, of Swanzey, who was driving north in the Sienna, struck the Fiat, which was stopped in the northbound lane waiting for another vehicle to pass to turn, Dumont said.

“The impact from the crash sent the Fiat into the southbound lane, where it was struck again by a 2002 Ford F-350 traveling southbound,” he said. “Carrier and a child passenger were uninjured during the crash.”

The driver of the Fiat, Peter Friedrichs, 67, and a passenger, Irene Friedrichs, 73, both of Keene, “were trapped in the vehicle with serious injuries,” Dumont added.

Firefighters used Jaws of Life to remove them from the car and the injuries to the couple were deemed serious. Peter Friedrichs was taken to Cheshire Medical Center in Keene while Irene Friedrichs was med-flighted to UMass Memorial Medical Center in Worcester, Massachusetts.

The driver of the truck, Landon Lake, 19, of Walpole, was not injured.

Dumont said Route 12 was closed for more than an hour. Troopers were assisted by Walpole police, Westmoreland fire and rescue teams, Cheshire County EMS, and the New Hampshire Department of Transportation.

The crash remains under investigation, Dumont said.

Anyone who witnessed the incident was asked to contact Trooper Paul Bergeron at Paul.J.Bergeron@dos.nh.gov or 603-358-3333.
