Marshals: Man Failed To Appear In Court On Sexual Assault Charges

CONCORD, NH — The District of New Hampshire - New Hampshire Joint Fugitive Task Force is asking for the public's help locating a man wanted for failure to appear in court on rape charges. Jahaziel Balderas-Cobix is 32, about 5-feet, 11-inches tall, and weighs around 150 lbs. He has brown hair and brown eyes.

Balderas-Cobix also has a noticeable tattoo on his right arm, according to a U.S. Marshals Service alert.

A warrant was issued for his arrest by Belknap Count sheriffs on Oct. 18, 2019, after he failed to appear in Belknap County Superior Court on charges, according to Jeffrey White, a deputy U.S. Marshal.

"Balderas-Cobix is wanted for failing to appear on multiple counts of aggravated felonious sexual assault," White said. "Balderas-Cobix was last known to reside in Laconia, NH, where he has friends and associates."

Balderas-Cobix, according to the Laconia Daily Sun, was indicted in July 2019 on two counts of rape. He was arrested by Laconia police on July 22, 2019, according to mugshots.com.
