Mega Millions Jackpot Expected To Reach $440M On Tuesday
The New Hampshire Lottery says the one-time cash payout, if there is a winner, will be close to $248 million, before taxes.

CONCORD, NH — The Mega Millions jackpot is expected to be $440 million on Tuesday, according to New Hampshire Lottery officials.
With no one winning on Friday or winning since mid-April, the jackpot has continued to grow. The one-time cash payout, if there is a winner Tuesday, is expected to be around $247.8 million, before taxes.
“When jackpots exceed the $400 million mark, we really start to feel the anticipation and the excitement building both with our players and our retailers,” Charlie McIntyre, the executive director of the lottery, said. “New Hampshire is due for another Mega Millions jackpot winner and everyone here at the New Hampshire Lottery has their fingers crossed that we will soon be meeting another big winner. Players, get your tickets so you can have a chance to win a life-changing jackpot of $440 million in tomorrow’s drawing.”

Mega Millions drawings are held on Tuesdays and Fridays at 11 p.m.
The largest Mega Millions jackpot was more than $1.5 billion in October 2018. New Hampshire has had a number of lottery jackpot winners, including a single Mega Millions winner and 11 Powerball jackpot winners.

According to the lottery, since 1964, more than $2.3 billion has been contributed to education in the state from proceeds. More than $8 billion in lottery sales and earnings have been recorded while $5.4 billion has been paid off in prizes and other costs of sales.
