New Hampshire Burglar, With ‘History Of Drug Offenses,’ Wanted By Department Of Corrections

CONCORD, NH — The New Hampshire Department of Corrections is asking for the public’s help in finding a convicted burglar who is wanted for a parole violation after being accused of absconding from supervision.

Bobby Richard Sanders is 41, white, about 5 feet, 10 inches tall, and weighs 165 pounds. He has hazel eyes and brown hair. Sanders has a full-sleeve tattoo on his left arm and sometimes uses the alias “Bobby Sanders Jr.” He is wanted on warrants out of Carroll County, Strafford County, and Chester County, Tennessee, and Mercer County, New Jersey.

Sanders was sentenced to probation on burglary and theft charges in 2022 and “has a history of drug offenses,” an alert stated. He was accused of absconding after being released on bail in 2024, following the filing of new charges in Strafford County Superior Court. Sanders was also accused of failing to appear in criminal cases in New Jersey and Tennessee, the alert stated.

“Sanders has ties throughout the U.S., as he was born in Texas and has had driver’s licenses in Florida, Tennessee, Maine, and New Hampshire,” the alert stated. “Sanders was last known to be residing in Dover, NH, while he was on bail supervision with electronic monitoring when he fled, and his current whereabouts are unknown.”

According to superior court records, Sanders was arrested in July 2021 on felony theft charges in Albany and on burglary, theft, drug, and driving charges in Sanbornville. In October 2022, he pleaded guilty to the burglary and one theft charge and received a three-and-a-half-to-seven-year prison sentence, suspended for five years, and a six-month jail sentence with 81 days of time served and two years of probation. Sanders was also ordered to pay $245 in restitution. He was accused of violating probation in February 2023 and January 2024.

Sanders was also accused of felony theft in Dover in July 2023. He was charged in October 2023 and failed to appear at an arraignment in December 2023. A warrant was issued for his arrest in March 2024, he was released on $100 cash bail, and indicted on the charge in October 2024.
