New Hampshire Corrections Department Searching For Seacoast Drug Felon With Active Cases

CONCORD, NH — The New Hampshire Department of Corrections is asking for the public’s help finding a felon missing for a little more than a year who is wanted on active drug charges and a probation violation.

Shane Michael Perkins is 24, white, about 5 feet, 5 inches tall, and weighs around 130 pounds. He has brown hair and brown eyes. Perkins has several tattoos, including a cross on his right hand, family on his left hand, “Nana” and an angel on his left shoulder, right and bricks on his right wrist, family on his right forearm, along with the word “Jasmine” and “TS” Team Seabrook, “IV” on his right shoulder, and praying hands with handcuffs, “George,” and “74” on his chest.

Perkins, according to corrections officials, absconded from supervision in November 2022.

“In addition to a history of substance misuse,” an alert stated, “Perkins has gang affiliations and is known to resist and hide on law enforcement.”

Perkins was last known to be in the Manchester area but has also been known to frequent the Seacoast, officials said.

According to superior court records, Perkins was accused of burglary in Seabrook in May 2019 and indicted in November 2019. In August 2019, he was charged with three counts of possession of controlled-narcotic drug and two counts of acts prohibited, all felonies, also in Seabrook. In February 2021, the burglary charge and two acts prohibited charges were nolle prossed as part of a plea deal. Perkins was sentenced to three 12 month sentences, all suspended or deferred, for one to three years, with five days of time served in jail. In June 2021, he was accused of violating probation and failed to appear at a hearing in February 2022. After being arrested again, he pleaded guilty to violating probation and his sentence was amended. He was given a 12 month sentence suspended for two years. Perkins was accused of violating probation again after being charged with possession of a controlled drug, acts prohibited, and resisting arrest out of Manchester in November 2022. He failed to appear at a hearing in January 2023 and was also charged with bail jumping. Perkins was indicted on the drug charges in February 2023. Both cases are still active.

Corrections officials also noted he has an active bench warrant on an endangering the welfare of a child charge out of Hampton District Court.
