New Yorkers Busted For Purchasing Ciggies With Stolen Credit Cards
NHSP: For months, Alberto Rodriguez and Davon Susana have fraudulently been purchasing cigarettes in NH at I-93's Hooksett welcome centers.
HOOKSETT, NH — A fugitive from New York wanted for robbery and a companion were arrested yesterday afternoon by state police after allegedly fraudulently using credit cards in New Hampshire, according to a report. Alberto Rodriguez, 24, pictured left, and Davon Susana, 20, both from New York, were arrested on June 16, 2017, on fraudulent use of a credit card charges. Rodriguez was also charged with operating after suspension and identity fraud while Susana faces fugitive from justice and false reports to law enforcement charges.

At around 12:30 p.m. yesterday, a state trooper was called to the southbound rest area in Hooksett for a report of men purchasing goods with stolen credit cards. Susana “gave troopers several false names before his identity was discovered,” according to Staff Sgt. Charles Johnston of Troop D.

“It was learned that he was wanted in New York City for robbery,” he noted. “The investigation revealed that the suspects had purchased cartons of cigarettes at the welcome centers in Hooksett for several months, using stolen and fraudulent credit cards and pre-paid gift cards.”
The estimated value of the allegedly fraudulently purchased cigarettes was more than $5,000.

“It is believed that the suspects were then selling them in the New York City area,” he alleged.
After being arrested, both men refused bail and were held at the Merrimack County House of Corrections. They will be arraigned on June 19.
