NH Fugitive, With ‘Violent Tendencies,’ Sought By U.S. Marshals
James Porter is wanted on a supervised release violation after an interstate stolen property conviction. He could be in Nashua, Quincy, MA.

CONCORD, NH — The District of New Hampshire - New Hampshire Joint Fugitive Task Force is seeking assistance in locating a previous Fugitive of the Week with “violent tendencies,” according to the U.S. Marshals Service. James M. Porter Jr. is 47, weighs 156 lbs., is 5 feet, 6 inches tall, with hazel eyes and brown hair. He has a barbed wire tattoo on his right arm, an eagle on his back, and a rose with names on his chest.

Porter was convicted in 2010 for interstate transportation of stolen property and after serving a few years, was checked into a halfway house. In December 2013, he allegedly left the facility and failed to return. The task force caught up with him in Jaffrey, reportedly hiding under a bed in a family member’s home.

This time, according to Deputy Marshal Jeffrey White, Porter is wanted for violation of supervised release. A warrant for his arrest was issued on Jan. 26, 2018.
“Porter has a criminal history that includes violent tendencies and caution should be used,” White stated in a press release. “Porter was last known be in the Nashua and/or Quincy, MA, areas, where he has some ties to family and friends.”
