NH Fugitives Arrested in Ohio
U.S. Marshals: Benjamin Kelso, Rachel Jordan arrested this morning; charges against those who assisted the pair could be forthcoming.

A recent New Hampshire Joint Fugitive Task Force Fugitive of the Week has been caught in Ohio, according to Jamie Berry, a deputy marshal with the task force.
Benjamin Kelso, 20, was apprehended in Springfield, OH, on warrants issued out of Merrimack County for failure to appear on a heroin charge and the Lawrence MA Police Department for escape and firearms charges.

According to Berry, investigators received tips that Kelso might be in the Springfield area and later, learned that he was holed up in a local hotel. He was taken into custody without incident, according to the report.
Also arrested at the scene was his girlfriend, Rachel Jordan, 19, of Sanbornton, who was wanted by Merrimack County Sheriff’s Office for probation violations and failure to appear for heroin possession.

“Additional charges could be pending for persons who assisted Kelso and Jordan while they were on the run,” Berry noted. “Multiple tips led investigators to Pennsylvania, Illinois, and Ohio, which allowed for a successful arrest of Kelso this morning.”
Berry stated that the arrests were coordinated by multiple task forces and agencies including the U.S. Marshals – NH Joint Fugitive Task Force, Southern Ohio Fugitive Apprehension Task Force, Western Pennsylvania Fugitive Task Force, Central Illinois Violent Fugitive Task Force, as well as the Belknap County Sheriff’s Office, Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office, Northfield Police Department and the Massachusetts State Police.
Kelso has been arrested a number of times during the past few years including in 2012, on drug and selling air rifles to a young person charges, according to a post on Concord NH Patch, and alcohol charges earlier that year, too. Jordan has been arrested a number of times on various charges, according to posts online.
