New Hampshire Man Accused Of Smuggling Equipment To Russia Freed On Bail
Alexey Brayman of Merrimack was released on a $150,000 bond and must wear a GPS locator; he faces several charges in federal court in NY.

CONCORD, NH — A New Hampshire man, accused of colluding with six others to evade sanctions placed against Russian companies, organizations, and its government to keep them from accessing military and other equipment, has been released on bail.
Alexey Brayman of Merrimack was arraigned in U.S. District Court in Concord on Tuesday on multiple charges accusing him of using his home on Ellie Drive in Merrimack as a location to receive and re-ship, to other locations, parts and materials that Russia was not allowed to receive due to laws and executive orders.

According to Jeffrey Hastings of Frame of Mind Photography, Brayman was released on $150,000 unsecured bond. He must wear a GPS tracking unit and will be required to be at home during specific hours. Hastings said media outlets were waiting outside the courthouse to speak with Brayman, but he slipped out a side entrance at the court.

The 48-page indictment was unsealed on Tuesday and contains 16 different counts of charges — including conspiracy to defraud the United States; conspiracy to violate the International Emergency Economic Powers Act; bank fraud; wire fraud; money laundering; conspiracy to violate the Export Control Reform Act; smuggling goods from the United States; and failure to file electronic export information.
