No Danger To The Public After South End Shooting: Concord Police
A man died of a gunshot wound to the head on Sunday night while another person was injured. Police are still investigating the incident.
CONCORD, NH — A shooting incident in the city’s South End is still under investigation, but there is no danger to the public, according to Concord police.
Around 9 p.m., officers were sent to a home on Monroe Street for a report of a man found dead with a gunshot wound to the head. When police and firefighters arrived, they spoke with a woman and found the body of the man. He was declared dead at the scene.
Concord fire and rescue teams took one person to the hospital for treatment, and they were released later. Neighbors and others were questioned.

The evidence technician’s van was parked outside the home for several hours on Monday early in the morning.
Lt. Thomas Yerkes of the department’s criminal investigations unit said Tuesday afternoon that the case was still open, so limited information would be shared. He said there was no danger to the public.

Police also do not believe there are any other issues connected to the incident.
Yerkes also said he could not speak about the person who was found injured inside the home and treated at the hospital.
