Penacook Stalker Arrested On A Felony Charge After Incident On Riverhill Avenue: Follow-Up

CONCORD, NH — A woman from Penacook, who has been previously convicted of stalking, is facing a felony charge after an incident on Riverhill Avenue.

Around 8 p.m. on July 8, police were sent to a home on Riverhill Avenue for a DVO violation. The complainant said she was gardening after returning home from work when Monica Spinazola, 61, also of Riverhill Avenue, was saying things to her and flipping her off, according to a report. The victim accused Spinazola — who has been arrested at least eight times, on various charges, during the past 18 months, of recording her, flipping her off, and swearing at her while pacing around outside.

The complainant took out her cellphone and began recording Spinazola to document the violation, the report stated.

The officer noted the video was around 46 seconds long and captured Spinazola using her phone to record the victim, making a gesture — “a snapping-like motion, which (appeared) to be directed toward the person recording said video.” The officer confirmed with a watch commander that the stalking final order of protection against Spinazola was active and allowed her to live in her home but to have “no intentional contact with plaintiff, including no verbal communication, no motions or gestures, and no signage or lighting directed at plaintiff or plaintiff’s home.”

Spinazola was convicted in Merrimack County Superior Court on May 12 of stalking. She was then arrested on a felony stalking-subsequent charge and held without bail.

In Concord District Court on July 9, probable cause was found to continue with the case. A bail hearing was held on July 16 and she was detained. The case was boundover to Merrimack County Superior Court on July 23.

Spinazola has a status conference booked for Aug. 31.
