Queen City Man Accused Of Aggravated DUI, Possessing Pot, Weapon After Hooksett Crash
Jacob Cook of Manchester was arrested Friday morning, accused of driving 76 mph in a truck, crashing into a curbing on Martins Ferry Road.

HOOKSETT, NH — A Queen City man is facing charges after being accused of driving under the influence, speeding on local streets, and crashing a pickup truck on Friday morning in Hooksett.
Around 1:45 a.m., an officer parked in a business parking lot, monitoring traffic in the southern end of town, reportedly saw a driver in a pickup truck “traveling north past him at a high rate of speed,” Lt. Valerie Lamy of the Hooksett Police Department said. The officer activated their cruiser lights and reported clocking the driver at 76 mph. A short chase ensued, with the officer attempting to stop the truck. Lamy accused the driver, later identified as Jacob Cook, 21, of Manchester, of slowing down and turning onto Martins Ferry Road when he crashed into granite curbing.

“The operator opened the door of the truck and then followed (the officer’s) commands, where he was taken into custody,” she said. “Cook showed signs of impairment and ended up refusing any sobriety tests.”
Police inventoried the pickup truck and reported finding brass knuckles and marijuana, a report said.
