‘Rapid Fire Spread’ Warning Issued For NH As Low Humidity Persists
Forecasters from the National Weather Service are calling for sunny skies and mild autumn temperatures this weekend.
CONCORD, NH — Forecasters with the National Weather Service have issued a hazardous weather outlook warning about the spread of potential wildfires in most of the Granite State due to low humidity and strong wind and breezes.
The early Wednesday morning alert is active through Thursday and covers Merrimack, Hillsborough, and interior Rockingham counties. The low humidity and northerly breeze “may allow for rapid fire spread in spots” throughout New Hampshire.
On Thursday, expect sunny skies and highs in the mid-40s in Concord and the capital region, Nashua and southern New Hampshire, and the Seacoast. The wind will be around 5 mph. Overnight lows will be in the mid-20s.
