Rochester Felon Faces Reckless Conduct, DUI, Other Charges In Bow
Zachary Gilbert was arrested after a chase on Route 3A in Bow to Manchester Saturday; cops accuse him of possessing drugs, counterfeit cash.

BOW, NH — A felon from New Hampshire with several previous and active criminal charges is in more trouble after a high-speed chase in Bow on Saturday that ended in Manchester.
Around 3:30 a.m., on Route 3A in Bow, an officer saw a white Chevrolet Express van “traveling recklessly” and attempted to stop it. The van, however, fled, police said.
“A motor vehicle pursuit was initiated and ended in Manchester,” police said.

After the chase, the driver, Zachary Gilbert, 34, of Rochester, was arrested on reckless conduct-deadly weapon, a felony, as well as aggravated DUI-30+ mph, aggravated DUI-attempt to elude, DUI, disobeying an officer, and driving after revocation or suspension charges. He was also wanted on five active warrants.
A search warrant was requested and granted, leading police to accuse Gilbert of possessing a firearm, illegal drugs, counterfeit money, other deadly weapons, and ammunition in the van.

“Additional charges are pending,” Bow police said on Facebook.
He was arraigned on Monday and held on preventive detention.
Bow police said New Hampshire State Police, and Manchester police and firefighters, assisted with the case.
According to superior court records, Gilbert has a criminal history dating back to 2005, when he pleaded guilty to robbery and second-degree assault charges out of Manchester from October 2004, making him a felon.
In July 2009, he was accused of second-degree assault in Portsmouth, but the charge was dismissed a year later. In September 2009, Gilbert was accused of false public alarms in Brentwood and pleaded guilty to the charge in May 2010.
Gilbert pleaded guilty to first-degree assault and felon in possession of a dangerous weapon in July 2018, after a January 2018 incident in Belmont. A criminal threatening charge was dropped as part of the plea deal. He failed to appear at July 21 and Aug. 18 violation of court order hearings connected to the case. A warrant was issued for his arrest later.
In Manchester in March 2018, he was accused of drug possession and uninspected vehicle and pleaded guilty about eight months later. In February, a request for documents in the criminal case was requested by prosecutors.
Also, on Feb. 10, he was accused of drug possession in Nashua. Gilbert was arraigned and released on $100 cash bond. He was due to appear at a plea and sentencing hearing on Sept. 12 but failed to appear. An arrest warrant was issued later.
