Safety Officials Investigating Central NH ‘School Shooter’ Signs
Warnings scrawled on paper plates were found in three capital region communities on Friday.

CONCORD, NH — New Hampshire Department of Safety officials are investigating homemade “school shooter” signs found in three capital region communities on Friday.
“Multiple signs” were found in Barnstead, Epsom, and Pittsfield, indicating there were school shooters in those communities, Tyler Dumont, the public information officer for the department, said.
The department released a photo of one of the signs which had the words scrawled in black marker on a paper plate. The signs featured other words which have been blurred in an effort to protect the integrity of the state’s investigation, he said.

“While the department has not received any information indicating there are any imminent threats, state and local law enforcement are present at all schools within these towns at this time,” Dumont said. “An increased law enforcement presence will remain at the schools until the situation is fully resolved and it is further determined there are no credible threats.”
Officials have not released a phone number or email for tips. Investigators expect to release more information soon.
