Alert: Tornado Watch Issued For New Hampshire
Update: The National Weather Service is warning of severe thunderstorms Friday afternoon and evening with high wind, hail, and more.

GRAY, ME — The National Weather Service issued two weather alerts Friday warning of strong thunderstorms, hail, wind, and possibly a tornado.
The hazardous weather outlook and special weather statement cover Merrimack, Hillsborough, and Rockingham counties between 3 p.m. Friday to 2 a.m. Saturday.
"Severe thunderstorms will be possible across western and southern NH this afternoon and evening," an alert stated. "Damaging winds, heavy rainfall, hail will be possible along with a low probability of an isolated tornado."

The "torrential rain" will be "brief" but strong, the alerts stated.
At 3:25 p.m. Thursday, a tornado watch was issued by the NWS for Merrimack, Hillsborough, and other counties in the state. The watch runs through 10 p.m.

In Concord and the capital region as well as western and central Hillsborough County, the worst part of the storm is expected after 5 p.m. It should be completed by midnight or 1 a.m. Saturday.
In western Rockingham County and the Seacoast, the storms are expected after 5 p.m. and will end around 1 and 2 a.m. Saturday.
