Sex Offender Fugitive Who Assaulted Officer Wanted By NH Department Of Corrections
Officials consider Douglas K. Moore "armed and dangerous" with "violent tendencies." He has not been seen since July 2024.

CONCORD, NH — The New Hampshire Department of Corrections is asking for the public’s help finding a fugitive who has not been seen for six months and is presumed to be “armed and dangerous” with “violent tendencies.”
Douglas K. Moore is 36, white, about 6 feet, 10 inches tall, and weighs around 250 pounds. He has blue eyes and brown hair. Moore also has tattoos on his left upper arm, chest, forearms, and shoulders.
Moore was last believed to be homeless in Dover but also has ties to Alfred, Maine.

Officials said Moore is a sex offender, due to a sexual assault conviction in October 2014, who previously failed to register. His criminal history dates back to 2009 and includes receiving stolen property, mischief, drug possession, theft, resisting, assault, and felon in possession of a dangerous weapon. Moore, officials said, had also been convicted of sexual abuse of a minor and aggravated assault.
After being convicted on simple assault charges, for injuring a police officer, he received a suspended sentence and stopped reporting to probation.

According to court documents, Moore was arrested on simple assault, resisting arrest, and disorderly conduct charges in January 2024 in Dover.
In February 2024, he was accused of felon in possession of a dangerous weapon in Manchester. A month later, he was charged with three felony counts.
In June 2024, he pleaded to a single count and received a 12-month sentence, suspended for three years.
A month later, Moore pleaded guilty to two of the simple assault charges out of Dover. He was sentenced to nine months on one count, with a 173-day credit, and a one-to-two-year sentence, suspended for two years, on the second count.
A warrant for Moore’s arrest was issued on Sept. 11, 2024, for violating probation or parole.
