Spring Snowstorm Coming To New Hampshire Monday

Forecasters: Anywhere from 3 to 10 inches of snow could fall but probably closer to 6 inches. The storm runs through Tuesday morning.

GRAY, ME — The state of New Hampshire is under a "winter storm watch" with snow coming to the region Monday. Forecasters expect a low-pressure system that is south of Cape Cod will move northeast in the early afternoon. It will start as rain and then change to snow and rapidly accumulate, according to the National Weather Service.

"This will be a heavy and wet snow, which could cause downed branches and power lines," the alert, which was issued at 3:15 p.m. Sunday, stated.

The alert covers Merrimack, Hillsborough, and Rockingham counties. Weather service forecasters are calling for between 3 and 6 with the Seacoast receiving less snow — around 2 inches.
