State Police Called to I-89 Crash
Driver not injured after pickup truck careens down an embankment.

Troop D New Hampshire State Troopers were sent to a motor vehicle crash on I-89 this morning outside of Lebanon, according to an alert.
A 2006 Toyota Tundra was found about 250-feet off the Interstate down an embankment.
Lebanon Fire and Rescue teams along with the first trooper arriving at the scene checked the driver, “who is disabled and was uninjured,” according to the report.

“Due to the location of the vehicle, fire personnel utilized an OHRV to remove the operator from the scene via snow mobile trail access,” according to Sgt. Ronald Taylor.
After speaking with witnesses, troopers determined that after entering I-89 northbound on Exit 17, he “accelerated he lost control of the vehicle.”

The vehicle “went up and over the guardrail and down the embankment where it came to rest,” according to the report. “The operator was driving too fast for the existing conditions resulting in the crash.”
The crash is still under investigation. Witnesses are being asked to call Trooper Michael Catalfamo at 603-223-4381 if they have any information about the case.
