CONCORD, NH — The New Hampshire Attorney General’s Office announced on Friday night that a “person of interest” in a Lakes Region murder investigation has been caught. Hassan Sapry, 21, of Laconia, was arrested on April 26, 2019, and charged with second-degree murder. Sapry is accused of “recklessly causing the death” of Wilfred Guzman Sr., 57, also of Laconia, according to John Kennedy, an assistant attorney general with the NH AG’s Office.

The charge was issued against Sapry for “circumstances manifesting an extreme indifference to the value of human life,” Kennedy noted.

According to WMUR-TV, Sapry was spotted in the area of Edgewater Avenue in Laconia after a homeowner reported seeing someone who looked like him in the area. He was arrested at his parent’s home on Pleasant Street nearby, according to Manchester Information.
