Teens, Concord Man Arrested After Gas Station Armed Robbery

Davein Jenkins is accused of assisting teens who reportedly robbed the Gully Hill Shell gas station. He was also charged to drug dealing.

CONCORD, NH — A local man has been arrested after allegedly assisting two teenagers who reportedly were involved with an armed robbery in Concord in October, according to police. Davein Jenkins, 45, of Concord, was arrested on Dec. 7, 2017, for criminal liability for conduct of another-armed robbery and sale of a controlled drug, both felonies, as well as reckless conduct and contributing to the delinquency of a minor. Back on Oct. 21, two masked men, covered in duct tape and bandanas, robbed the Gully Hill Shell gas station on Loudon Road at just before 12:30 a.m.

“One man approached the register and pointed a handgun at the clerk while the second man remained at the door as an apparent lookout,” according to Lt. Sean Ford, the commander of the criminal investigations unit for the Concord Police. “The suspect with the gun told the clerk that this was a robbery and demanded that she give him the register drawer.”

After the clerk complied with the demand, the perp requested cigarettes and the two men fled the scene heading east.

Investigators released surveillance footage from the robbery and the Concord Regional Crimeline received tips which led to two suspects – a 15-year-old and a 16-year-old, both of Concord – being arrested and charged. Their cases are being handled in family court, according to Ford. The investigation, however, led to Jenkins being developed as a suspect for allegedly providing assistance to the teens with their alleged robbery plan, according to Ford.

“Jenkins was allegedly aware of the robbery plan hours before it happened and provided shelter to the juveniles before and after the robbery,” Ford stated in an alert. “It was further alleged that Jenkins provided a change of clothes to one of the male juveniles after the robbery and also provided a controlled drug to one of the juveniles.”

Jenkins was known as a family friend of one of the teens, Ford noted. He was arrested yesterday, released on personal recognizance bail, and is due in Merrimack County Superior Court on Dec. 21.

Police are asking anyone with information to contact Ford or Sgt. Robert Buelte at 603-225-8600 or the Concord Regional Crimeline at 603-226-3100.

Jenkins – a previously homeless man from Laconia – has been charged a number of times in the Concord area for criminal trespass and camping restricted.
