Concord Police Log: Alleged Underage Drinkers Busted on Booze Charges
Campers summoned after silent tent protest because they have no place to live and a woman allegedly throws a nightstand at her boyfriend.

Jacob B. Harris, 20, of Fayette Street in Concord, was arrested at 1:23 a.m. on Oct. 4, 2015, for unlawful possession of alcohol and possession of controlled drugs. Also charged were Tyler Labonte, 20, of Forest Lane in Boscawen, Kaedance D. Ringwald, 18, of Lyndon Street in Concord, and Kaitlin MacGown, 19, of Beacon Street in Concord, for possession of alcohol. Officers were sent to Fayette Street near Chesley for a noise complaint at around 12:21 a.m., possibly a large party, but the caller wasn’t able to pinpoint the exact address. Officers “instantly heard loud voices yelling” from one of the residences. Officers looked toward one of the windows and found a female who appeared to be underage. One of the officers rang the doorbell and a man appeared at the door, unsteady on his feet, who was shocked when he saw police, according to the report. “The male was wearing a cardboard beer box on his head,” according to the report. The man, Harris, allegedly told the officer he was 20 and they checked his identification and reportedly confirmed he was underage. Officers alleged that there were empty boxes and alcoholic drinks as well as a marijuana grinder in the home, according to the report. When the officers asked who was over 21-years-old, one man raised his hand, denied buying the alcohol, and was released from the scene. Ringwald was approached and allegedly had an open Budweiser in front her. Labonte allegedly smelled like alcohol but reportedly said he was “a couple of days” from turning 21. McGowan allegedly appeared to be unsteady on her feet and had difficulty speaking, slurring her words, and “seemed to be confused as to what the problem was.” Harris allegedly admitted that the grinder and “weed” was his and was arrested. They are all due in court on Nov. 9.

Alex Campestrini, 27, of Alton Woods Drive in Concord, received a summons at 5:16 a.m. on Sept. 14, for operating without a valid license after a traffic stop on Loudon Road and Stickney Avenue for driving 55 mph in a 30 zone. Campestrini reportedly gave the officer a Brazilian passport and did not have a driver’s license. He’s due in court on Oct. 26.

Jerri L. Beauchesne, 45, of Perry Street in Allenstown, was arrested at 4:35 p.m. on Sept. 13, on a theft charge - $409.68 worth of food she allegedly tried to shoplift from Hannaford on Fort Eddy Road. She’s due in court on Oct. 19.
Shannon P. Leary, 28, of Elm Street in Penacook, was arrested at 1:23 p.m. on Sept. 8, for driving while intoxicated. Officers were sent to Canal Street for a report of a vehicle striking a pole. When she arrived, the officer found the driver, Leary, sitting on the curb speaking on a cellphone while the vehicle was in the eastbound travel lane off on the side of the road. Leary allegedly was unsteady on her feet and was asked if she was OK and wearing her seatbelt before the crash. She reportedly stated that she was not hurt. Leary reportedly told the officer that she looked down for a moment and crashed into the pole however, the officer noted that the area where the vehicle struck the pole was about three feet from the vehicle. She allegedly smelled like alcohol and after some back and forth, Leary was arrested. According to witnesses who heard the crash, the vehicle traveled approximately 100 feet further down the road before coming to a stop.

Davein H. Jenkins, 43, Theresa Locke, 54, and Samantha Tatro, 37, all homeless now located in Concord, received summonses at 10:35 a.m. on Sept. 7, for camping restricted. An officer was sent to The Friendly Kitchen on South Commercial Street for a report of campers near the property. An officer spoke to the three people who stated that they weren’t camping but instead, holding a silent protest because they had no place to live. They put signs on the tents that stated that they weren’t camping, according to the report. “They said that they set up the tents and slept in them overnight,” the officer alleged, “(but) they insisted that they were not camping.” Since they didn’t have permission to be on the property, they were given summonses.
James J. Caruso, 55, of Alton Woods Drive in Concord, was arrested at 11:30 a.m. on Sept. 6, for suspended registration and driving after revocation after a traffic stop for expired inspection sticker on Loudon Road. Caruso’s license and registration privileges were suspended on April 30, 2015, for default court administration fee. He’s due in court on Oct. 19.
Alexander J. Barnhart, 22, of Prospect Street in Franklin, was arrested at 1:03 a.m. on Sept. 4, on two counts of driving while intoxicated. An officer reported seeing a Mazda taking a wide right turn onto North State Street onto School Street. The officer followed the vehicle and reported seeing it cross over the double yellow line and then jerk over the white fog line. The driver reportedly drove through a red light at North State and Penacook streets, turning left, and was stopped on Penacook. The officer approached Barnhart who allegedly smelled like alcohol, “spoke with a thick tongue,” and couldn’t pronounce the downtown café where he had reportedly been drinking at. After field sobriety tests, he was arrested.
Jake L. Rucker, 35, of Manchester Street in Concord, was arrested at 11:34 p.m. on Sept. 3, for resisting arrest or detention. Officers were sent to the area around the Ichiban Japanese Steakhouse on Manchester Street for a possible intoxicated person in the middle of the street. The man, Rucker, was reportedly running on the side of the road and into a parking lot of one of the dealerships but wouldn’t stop was ordered to by police. “Rucker ran into the parking lot of the car dealership across from Banks Chevrolet,” the officer alleged. “I followed Rucker into the parking lot. Rucker attempted to conceal himself amongst the vehicles (and) eventually ran back towards Manchester St. Rucker ran across Manchester St. and into the grassy field next to Banks Chevrolet. I drove my patrol vehicle up to the grassy field put it in park and began to chase Rucker on foot.” Officers attempted to catch him but he allegedly kept running. One of the officers caught up to him and he allegedly kept struggling and was struck in the knee by one of the officers and handcuffed. He allegedly continued to struggle but eventually stopped. According to the reporting officer, Rucker reportedly began to vomit and Concord Fire and Rescue teams were called to the scene to assist. He’s due in court on Oct. 26.
