Evans was arrested at Concord Hospital Saturday where he was being treated for injuries he sustained during the officer involved shooting on May 19, in Hopkinton. According to scanner chatter and unofficial reports, state police received word that the vehicle Evans was allegedly driving – a Toyota – was stolen out of Vermont, and began a pursuit of the vehicle when it was seen traveling South on I-89. The vehicle was stopped and, after an exchange of words and alleged threats, Evans was shot by the state trooper.
