VOTE: What Were the Most Read Stories of 2016?
Missing kids, Powerball, UFOs, NH primary, and more. There were big stories on Patch this year. Care to guess which story people read most?

We are down to the wire … 2016 is winding down and soon, it will be a New Year and a new start (and with all the tragic deaths this year, we could all use a fresh start). At the 12 New Hampshire Patch.com sites covering 13 communities around the Granite State, there was a lot of news this year. Tens of thousands of posts and stories on our sites which delivered, as of earlier today, more than 13.2 million page views during the course of the year.
Some of our biggest stories made national headlines including the arrest of Seacoast political activist Jerry DeLemus. Other stories were local in nature, like missing kids, but people all around the state read them, which is always cool.
Most of the top posts of the year were new but there were a few older ones, too. A shredded chicken blog post from a few years ago continues to garner audiences for us; another post, a column about tips after graduation, was read by more than 40,000 people this year.
