Tragic Crashes and Accidents on New Hampshire’s Highways
Several residents lost their lives while others were injured on Granite State highways after accidents, dangerous weather in 2016.

A popular pizzeria owner, a UNH hockey player, a retired teacher, teenagers, and a firefighter … one woman was fleeing police at the time she crashed and died; another was killed by a man overdosing on heroin while driving. All of these Granite Staters lost their lives on New Hampshire’s highways and roadways in 2016.
There was a lot of tragedy and mayhem on state highways in 2016. Some were major, catastrophic and, frankly, heartbreaking accidents that no one had any control over; others were completely preventable.

The weather was also a factor in a number of harrowing accidents scenes including a major car pileup on I-93 in March that was recorded by a drone.
