Warrant Issued For Massachusetts Man After Shooting In NH: Update

CONCORD, NH — Police in Concord are asking for the public’s help locating a Massachusetts man accused of shooting a man in the capital city on Saturday.

A warrant has been issued for the arrest of Evan Hollins, 41. He is 5 feet, 6 inches tall, and weighs around 180 pounds. When last seen, he was wearing a black hoodie, white tank top, and dark blue jeans. He also has access to a silver SUV.

According to witnesses and scanner chatter, a woman at the Concord Terrace manufactured home park was being assaulted by Hollins and another man stepped in to break up the assault. Hollins was accused of drawing what is believed to be a .38 caliber handgun and then shooting the man in the chest. Hollins then left the scene, according to police.

At least two shots were fired, according to evidence tags at the scene. The victim was taken to Concord Hospital by EMTs for treatment.

Hollins, according to reports online, has prior criminal history in Manchester. During the course of the investigation, it was believed he lived on Merrimack Street in Concord. But a be-on-the-lookout call issued to police across the state said he resided in Dorchester, Massachusetts.

Police did not release information about the case but warned anyone who knows where Hollins is to not approach him. Instead, contact local police or the Concord Police Department at 603-225-8600. Anonymous tips can also be made to the Concord Regional Crimeline at 603-226-3100.
