WATCH: Firefighters Thanked for Coat Drive Efforts
Hundreds of kids received coats on Saturday in Concord; Gov. Hassan offers thanks for firefighters, encourages others to help out.

Professional firefighters from around New Hampshire raised tens of thousands of dollars to ensure that children around the state, including Concord, had coats this winter, as a part of the PPFNH “Operation Warm” fundraising effort.
Concord Firefighters raised more than $5,000 from donations and a food event at Cheers last month to purchase the coats, which are made in the USA, and go for about $34 each. More than 200 children in Concord received coats on Saturday. Other firefighters from around New Hampshire also participated in the effort locally.
Gov. Maggie Hassan met with firefighters on Monday at the Statehouse to encourage others to help out and thank firefighters for their efforts.
