'Widespread' Rain, Snow Heading To New Hampshire Thanksgiving Day, Black Friday: Follow-Up

Forecasters issued a hazardous weather outlook Tuesday, warning of slushy roads and extra time needed for travelers later this week.

CONCORD, NH — Forecasters are warning the roads early Thanksgiving morning and on Black Friday could be a bit slippery due to a mix of rain and snow, according to a hazardous weather outlook alert.

The alert was posted Tuesday afternoon, following up on warnings and forecasts from earlier in the week warning of rain and possibly some snow.

“(A) low-pressure tracking near New England Thursday into Friday morning will bring the potential for widespread rain and snow to the region,” the alert stated. “Rain is most likely along the coast and southern NH. Confidence in the finer details of the rain/snow line across the interior and snow amounts is low at this time range.”

Commuters, travelers, or shoppers on Friday should be aware of the latest forecasts, especially on Thursday and Friday morning. Travel, the alert said, “may become difficult by Thursday evening.”

The accumulation, however, appears to be very light.
