Zonta Club Announces Young Women in Public Affairs Scholarship

Up to $2,000 of scholarship money is available for young women who are making a difference.

Applications for the 2023 Young Women in Public Affairs (YWPA) Award are now available from the Zonta Club of Concord, NH. The goal of the Young Women in Public Affairs (YWPA) Award Program is to encourage young women to participate in public affairs. Applicants are asked to reflect on their voluntary commitment to their school and to their community and the problems limiting the empowerment of women in their own country and worldwide. The Zonta International Young Women in Public Affairs Award Program looks to the young women of today to be the leaders of tomorrow.

The Zonta Club of Concord, NH offers this scholarship award to a young woman; aged 16 -19 years of age on April 1st 2023 and attending high school in central NH, who has demonstrated commitment to volunteerism, service to others and advocacy through their involvement in school, community and other public affairs. The recipient of the Club Award may then be eligible to have their application submitted to Zonta District 1. The District 1 scholarship evaluation committee will then determine if that application should be sent to Zonta International for consideration as a recipient for one of 37 international awards of $5000.

The deadline for application submission is January 30, 2023.
