Nashua Woman Stole Purses at State Park: Cops

Hampton Police: Jessica Lantagne gave a false name in an attempt to conceal her identity.

HAMPTON, NH – A woman was arrested on Sunday for allegedly stealing purses at Hampton Beach State Park, according to police.

Jessica Lantagne, 41, of Nashua, was arrested on June 19, 2016, and charged with receiving stolen property and false reports to law enforcement.

At around 3:15 p.m., officers were sent to the state park for a report of a woman attempting to steal a purse from another woman, according to police.

“Witnesses were able to give an accurate description and police were able to locate and identify her as Jessica Lantagne,” according to Deputy Chief David Hobbs of the Hampton Police Department.

Police allege that Lantagne “gave police a false name in an attempt to conceal her identity” and that she was in possession of two bags that didn’t belong to her, according to a report.

“The owners of the property have since been identified,” Hobbs noted.

Lantagne was arrested and held on $5,000 cash bail. She is due to be arraigned in Seabrook District Court on July 26.

According to previous reports on Patch, Lantagne was arrested in October 2012 on a felony warrant for willful concealment out of Milford District Court. She was arrested in February 2015 for theft and receiving stolen property after an incident in December 2014 in Concord. In November 2009, she was arrested for shoplifting and forgery in Nashua, according to police.
