Pair Arrested After Laundromat Burglary, Stolen Vehicle Incident
Damon Bonnell of Pelham and Jessica Hurlbert of Newfields were arrested in Hampton recently after two incidents in town.
HAMPTON, NH — A burglary incident and stolen vehicle allegation have led to charges against two after incidents in Hampton this month, according to police. Damon Bonnell, 40, of Pelham, was arrested on March 17, 2018, for burglary and theft, both felonies. Also arrested was Jessica Hurlbert, 34, of Newfields, was arrested for felony receiving stolen property on March 14. Both were held in the Rockingham County House of Corrections on probation violations after their arrests.

According to Hampton Police, officers were sent to the Seacoast Laundromat & Car Wash on Lafayette Road at around 7:30 a.m. on March 9, for a report of a burglary.

“Responding officers received information that someone had entered the business at some point during the overnight hours and forcibly removed a change machine from the premises,” said Sgt. Alex Reno of the Hampton Police Department in a statement.
At just after 5 p.m. on the same day, a vehicle was reported stolen from the area of Depot Square in Hampton.

After an investigation by police of both incidents, Hurlbert and Bonnell were identified as potential suspects and arrest warrants were issued against them.

Bonnell is no stranger to police having been arrested in November 2016, on burglary charges by Rockingham County Sheriffs. In April 2015, he was arrested by sheriffs for failure to appear on burglary and mischief charges. Bonnell was also arrested for receiving stolen property in Pelham in December 2013. At the time, according to a report on Patch, he was wanted on other warrants in Massachusetts as well as a parole violation. In October 2012, he was accused of two counts of burglary in Hudson.
Hurlbert was arrested in Portsmouth in October 2015, on two counts of possession of controlled/narcotic drugs and two counts of unlawful dealing in prescription drugs after allegedly being found with a loaded needle. In November 2016, she was indicted for felony attempted falsifying physical evidence – after allegedly concealing a bottle of a liquid that she knew to be a false urine sample.
