2 Arrested At Post-RNC Trump For President Rally In New Hampshire
Scott William Doan of North Hampton and Edward Pitt of Canton, Massachusetts, were both arrested by Londonderry police on assault charges.
LONDONDERRY, NH — Two men were arrested at President Donald Trump's post-Republican National Convention rally in New Hampshire Friday, according to police.
Scott William Doan, 66, pictured left, of Mill Road in North Hampton was arrested on criminal threatening, disorderly conduct, and two simple assault charges. He was arrested by a detective at the Pro Star Aviation hangar on Kelly Avenue at just after 7 p.m.
About six minutes later, police received another incident report of an assault in the hangar. Twelve minutes later, a Londonderry police officer arrested Edward Pitt, 51, of Pear Tree Drive in Canton, Massachusetts, on a single count of simple assault.

Londonderry police did not return a request for more specific information about the arrests before post time. According to the department's dispatch log, officers were also sent to the hangar around 11 a.m. Friday for a report of suspicious activity but cleared the scene without reporting any issues.
According to CBS Boston, 1,400 people attended the rally inside the hangar. Hundreds more outside of the hangar and not allowed in due to capacity limits, according to attendees.

There were no other reports of problems at the event.

According to a report on Patch, Doan has prior criminal charges.
Two and half years ago, he was indicted on domestic violence-criminal threatening and reckless conduct-deadly weapon charges after being accused of threatening to kill a person. The indictment accused Doan of sticking the knife into a door the victim was behind during the threat incident. The incident occurred on Oct. 29, 2017. A check of online superior court records found no information about the case. In March 2006, according to Seacoastonline.com, Doan was arrested on assault and disorderly conduct charges in North Hampton.
Arrests at Trump rallies in New Hampshire have occurred in the past, according to past posts on Patch.
Nearly a year ago, Peter Collins, an elderly man from Merrimack, was arrested outside of the SNHU Arena in Manchester after police accused him of refusing to leave the event. Spencer Jubert of Penacook was also arrested and charged with disorderly conduct and resisting arrest or detention charges after being accused of refusing to listen to police managing the crowds at the event. A juvenile was also arrested on disobeying an officer and resisting arrest charges.
