Concord Police Arrest Derry Man After Home Invasion
Perps point guns at man, boy during robbery incident; cops build case against two; alleged drug dealer also charged.
Three New Hampshire men are facing charges after a home invasion on Thorndike Street in Concord about a week ago, according to a report.
At around 11:20 p.m. on Friday, April 10, officers were called to an apartment building for a report of an armed robbery in progress. The victim reported that a man entered his home and pointed a gun at himself and his 11-year-old son.
Police learned later that the man was someone the victim knew and had been allowed into the apartment, according to Lt. Timothy O’Malley, the commander of the criminal investigations unit of the Concord Police Department.

“Moments later, a second male subject entered the apartment armed with a handgun,” O’Malley stated. “Police believed the two subjects were working together to commit the robbery. Police believed that this incident was not random (and) that the victim was targeted for this robbery.”
Neither was injured, according to the report.

Detectives began to build a case and a few days later, on April 14, executed a search warrant at the apartment and allegedly found “finding quantities of heroin, methamphetamines, cocaine, and marijuana within the apartment.” O’Malley added, “Detectives also found other evidence to suggest that drugs were being sold from that apartment.”
Police then arrested John Henry Cowdrey, 48, pictured left, of Thorndike Street in Concord, on four felony counts of possession of controlled drugs, three felony counts of possession with intent to sell, a single count of possession of a controlled drug, and a single count of endangering the welfare of a child.
O’Malley noted that the boy was in school at the time the warrant was served and was taken by other family members because Cowdrey was being held without bail.
While this action was being taken, U.S. Marshals, New Hampshire State Police, and officers from Manchester, Londonderry, and Derry were actively trying to find the men involved in the incident. They later arrested Randy Alcantara, 39, pictured right, of Derry, and Nathan P. Lemire, 31, center, of Manchester, on April 16, 2015, on charges connected to the alleged holdup. Alcantara was charged with conspiracy to commit, criminal restraint, and criminal liability, all felonies; Lemire was charged with robbery and two counts of criminal threatening, all felonies.
Police are asking anyone with information about the individuals involved to offer tips on the Concord Regional Crimeline at 603-226-3100.
