Merrimack Man Dies of Gunshot Wounds

Harrison Lambert has died, according to officials; an autopsy concluded that he was hit with five bullets by police officers on Sept. 3.

New Hampshire Attorney General Joseph A. Foster, State Police Colonel Robert L. Quinn, and Merrimack Police Chief Mark E. Doyle, have announced that the man shot by a Merrimack Police officer on Sept. 3, 2015, has died.

Harrison Lambert has passed away on Sept. 4, 2015, as a result of the gunshot wounds sustained during an encounter with police.

According to a statement, the Massachusetts Medical Examiner’s Office conducted an autopsy of Lambert this afternoon and determined his cause of death was multiple gunshot wounds.

“Lambert suffered five gunshot wounds to various parts of his body,” according to the report. “The manner of death was ruled a homicide. Homicide is medically defined as the killing of one person by another. The investigation into this incident remains ongoing.”

According to officials, two police officers were sent to the home around 12:20 p.m. for a domestic disturbance involving an adult male threatening his father with a knife. Lambert reportedly came out of the home while carrying a knife an officer shot him. Lambert was taken to a local hospital.

Investigators are asking anyone who was traveling on Joppa Road at the time of the incident and any other individuals who have other relevant information are asked to contact Sgt. Justin Rowe at the New Hampshire State Police Major Crime Unit at 603-223-8849.
