Woman, With Needle In Her Arm, Attempts To Drive Into Cop: Report

Angela Tremblay, a Queen City woman with a slew of priors, was arrested in the parking lot in Merrimack after allegedly fleeing from police.

MANCHESTER, NH — A local woman with a criminal history in numerous New Hampshire communities is in more trouble with the law after being arrested today on numerous charges. Angela Tremblay, 32, of Manchester, was arrested on April 6, 2018, and charged with aggravated operating under the influence of drugs or alcohol, reckless conduct, resisting arrest/detention, and disobeying a police officer. At around 8 a.m. this morning, an officer checked on the condition of the occupant of a vehicle parked on Montcalm Street in Manchester, according to Lt. Brian O’Keefe of the Manchester Police Department.

The officer reportedly observed a needle in the arm of the woman, later identified as Tremblay.

“He woke the female and asked her to exit the vehicle,” O’Keefe stated. “Instead, she directed the vehicle toward the officer as she sped away from him.”

The officer jumped out of the way to avoid being struck by Tremblay’s car and lost sight of her as she reportedly fled the area.

“He was not injured as a result of her actions,” O’Keefe added.

A BOLO – “be on the lookout” call – was issued for a Volvo station wagon after the vehicle was lost in the area of Exit 6 on I-293. Tremblay – according to scanner chatter – was known to police from a number of priors.

About 15 minutes later, police in Merrimack spotted the vehicle in the parking lot of the Z1 Express (Rapid Refill), according to Jeffrey Hastings of Frame of Mind Photography. Police saw her walk across to Shaw's Supermarket but she reportedly fled out of the rear of the building, attempting to elude authorities. However, police located her in the parking lot of the Merrimack hotel and arrested her.

Police in Merrimack, O’Keefe noted, also have charges pending against Tremblay.

Tremblay is no stranger to police. Last May, she was arrested in Salem receiving stolen property, possession of a controlled drug-heroin, and breach of bail charges after allegedly being involved in robbery and hit-and-run incidents in Londonderry. She was indicted on those charges late last year. Tremblay was indicted last year on felony possession of a controlled drug-fentanyl after an alleged incident in Nashua and was arrested on a drug possession charge in April 2017. In June 2012, she was arrested on receiving stolen property in Salem.
