NASHUA, NH — Another Massachusetts man has been ensnared by police attempting to combat child sexual exploitation incidents in New Hampshire. Nashua police are an affiliate of the NH Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force and began investigating men last year accused of using the Internet and social media sites to target children for sexual relations. During the last nine months, the department has made nearly two dozen arrests.

The latest case in Nashua began in October 2019 when members of the special investigations division communicated with Wayne Babineau, 56, of Heald Street in Pepperell, MA. Lt. Daniel Mederos, of the department's criminal investigation division, accused Babineau of believing he was communicating with a child.

"As a result of the investigation, on Jan. 27, Babineau was arrested after traveling to Nashua," Mederos said.
