Another Arrest in Stabbing Death of Nashua Man

Stephan Peno was charged with conspiracy and falsifying evidence in the murder of Benjamin Marcum, 49, in March.

Authorities on Tuesday said they caught a man wanted in connection with a Nashua murder earlier this year.

Stephan Peno, 20, of Nashua, was arrested in Manchester late Tuesday night, police said. He eluded police for about 2 weeks after they obtained a warrant for his arrest.

Peno was charged with conspiracy to commit robbery, robbery, and falsifying evidence in the March 12 murder of Nashua resident Benjamin Marcum, 49. John Goff, 17, of Nashua, was charged with killing Marcum.

Police said Goff and Peno robbed Marcum then Goff stabbed him to death on a downtown walking path near Marcum’s residence.

Peno has had previous dealings with police; he was charged with assault and robbery last year. Goff is being held without bail as his case progresses.
