Connecticut Man Indicted On Murder Charge In 2018 Nashua Killing
Clinton Turner, 30, of New Haven, CT, has been indicted on murder and robbery charges connected to the death of David Smith in July 2018.

CONCORD, NH — A man from Connecticut has been indicted on charges connected to a murder in Nashua in July 2018.
Clinton Turner, 30, of New Haven, CT, has been indicted by a Hillsborough County Superior Court South grand jury for second-degree murder-accomplice, conspiracy to commit robbery, and two robbery charges connected to the death of David Smith on July 6, 2018. Diana Hazard, 32, of an unknown address in Connecticut, was also indicted on a felony accomplice to robbery charge as well as conspiracy to commit theft and theft against Smith the night of the killing.
At just after midnight on July 8, 2018, Nashua police were sent to Buck Street for a report of a dead man, Smith, inside of his home. An autopsy revealed the next day that he was shot in the head with a single bullet.

Poole was a suspect in another killing in Connecticut — Tyequa Besbitt, 28, his wife, in front of her two children, about a month before Smith’s murder.
Poole, however, was killed by Virginia State Police after he fled from them, in a stolen vehicle, while firing a gun at officers, in August 2018, according to press reports on Patch and television stations in Virginia.
Turner, Michael Garrity, a public information officer for the attorney general’s office, said, was accused by investigators of aiding and acting in concert with Poole to rob Smith with a handgun, which later led to his killing. The conspiracy robbery charge was for “agreeing with Tramaine Poole and others to rob David Smith, and then at least one of 12 separately alleged overt acts which occurred in furtherance of their conspiracy,” Garrity said.
Turner is being held on separate charges. He is expected to be arraigned in superior court at a future date. Hazard will also be arraigned sometime in the future.
Smith, according to his obituary, was originally born in Hartford, CT, was an Army veteran, and worked for both UPS and at the O'Brien's Sports Bar.
