Nashua Sex Offender Arrested at Public Library

Nashua police on Tuesday arrested a sex offender at the Nashua Public Library on charges he failed to report his e-mail addresses.
James Briand, 50, of 40 Chestnut St., was charged with failing to report to police, a felony.
Briand in 2011 was convicted of computer crimes that forces him to register as a sex offender with police.

On Tuesday, police said they received information that Briand was using a library computer for email. Officers were dispatched to the library and arrested him on a warrant for using several email addresses that he failed to report to police.
Briand was held on $1,000 bail pending an arraignment Wednesday.
