Nashua Teen Lucky to Be Alive After Nearly Driving Off Bridge, Police Say

Colin Malone, 17, was cited for a lane violation after police said he hit a snow bank and spun out atop the bridge railing.

A Nashua teenager is lucky to be alive after police said he nearly drove his car off the Sagamore Bridge Saturday afternoon.

Colin Malone, 17, was cited for a lane violation after police said he hit a snow bank and spun out atop the bridge railing. The back end of his car was hanging off the railing about 30 feet above the Merrimack River.

Malone was not hurt, police said.

Police said Malone was driving a Honda Accord eastbound on the Hudson Connector at about 3:30 p.m. when the crash happened.

Police said after crashing into the snowbank, his vehicle launched in the air and landed on a railing.

Drugs or alcohol did not appear to be factors in the crash, police said.
