Untimely Deaths Reported In Nashua

NASHUA, NH — The New Hampshire Attorney General's Office is investigating the untimely deaths of two people in Nashua. The names of the deceased are being withheld pending notification of next of kin as well as autopsies to establish the cause of death of both people. The autopsies will be performed Monday.

"The incident appears to be self-contained and there does not appear to be any threat of danger to the public," said John Kennedy, an assistant attorney general.

The attorney general's office did not release any other information but Patch has learned that the incident occurred in an apartment complex off Amherst Street.

At just after 8 a.m., Nashua police were sent to Millwright Drive for a check the welfare call. A man reported to police that his father had left him a message earlier in the morning, complaining that he couldn't breath and might harm himself. The complainant had been unable to reach his father or a friend that was staying with him, according to dispatch.

There was some criminal history involving the address from 2016 but nothing of significance since, according to police.

Four police units arrived at the address about 10 minutes later and reported finding a vehicle that was registered to a woman from Revere, Massachusetts, with a prior history of assault with a dangerous weapon and criminal threatening.

Nashua firefighters were called around 8:45 a.m. to assist in gaining access to the home while police also requested a ping on the woman's cellphone. That ping showed the phone around Cellu Drive, about a half mile away.

Around 9:10 a.m., an officer reported that there were two people down inside and requested criminal investigation division officers to the home.

One media outlet misreported that the bodies of the two people were discovered Sunday at the same residence of an 11-hour standoff from Friday. That report was inaccurate.
