Alleged Portsmouth Strangler, Others Indicted: Roundup

Plus, Salem and Plaistow men indicted for burglary, alleged Salisbury slasher indicted, and Weare man indicted for dealing heroin, crack.

BRENTWOOD, NH — The following people were indicted recently in Rockingham County Superior Court.

Joseph Anderson, 32, of Mascuppic Trail in Tyngsboro, MA, for two counts of theft by unauthorized taking, felonies, due to two prior convictions. On May 21, and May 31, 2016, he allegedly took control of sunglasses at the Sunglass Hut in Salem.

Sean M. Ashford, 26, of Plaistow Road in Plaistow, for burglary and conspiracy to commit burglary. On March 21, 2016, he allegedly burglarized AL Prime Energy, in concert with Jonathan Remy and Kyle Cunningham.

Miguel A. Ayuso-Ayala, 45, of Apple Way in Weare, for two counts of possession of a controlled drug with intent to distribute-crack cocaine, heroin, and two counts of possession of a controlled drug-crack cocaine, heroin, allegedly in Salem in December 2015. Ayuso-Ayala was previously convicted on a drug charge in Lowell MA District Court in December 2008.

George Belt, 40, of Aiken Street in Lowell, MA, for accomplice to theft by deception, a felony. On July 19, 2016, in Salem, he allegedly aided Mercedes Campbell in selecting a razor at Kohl’s so she could obtain store credit. Belt has twice been convicted of theft.

Scott Bennett, 28, of Blacksnake Road in Salisbury, MA, for first-degree assault, attempted first-degree assault, resisting arrest or detention. On July 16, 2016, in Raymond, he allegedly stabbed one person in the leg and allegedly threatened another person with the knife.

Paige Berounsky, 20, of Portsmouth Avenue in Greenland, for possession of a controlled drug-heroin and theft by unauthorized taking. On Sept. 14, 2015, in Newington, she allegedly exercised control over $70 of a relative.

Brandon Berube, 20, of Summer Street in Salem, for burglary, theft by unauthorized taking, and receiving stolen property. On March 18, 2016, he allegedly burglarized a home on Summer Street in Salem, took control of a safe and a blanket from another person, and stole a safe, cash, jewelry, and a blanket.

David Blais, 46, of Court Street in Portsmouth, for second-degree assault-domestic violence, a felony, and three counts of domestic violence-simple assault. On June 12, 2016, in Portsmouth, he allegedly strangled a woman, grabbed her, struck her in the head, and kicked her in the shin.

Samantha Bocchino, 21, of Pine Cone Drive in Seabrook, for two felony counts of criminal mischief and simple assault. On July 24, 2016, in Seabrook, she allegedly struck a man with a two hitch and also damaged two vehicles.
