Alleged Prowler Arrested on Drug, Theft Charges: Log

PORTSMOUTH, NH — Cody D. Ackerson, 20, of an unknown address in Portsmouth, was arrested at 7:06 a.m. on Oct. 10, 2016, for prowling, theft from a motor vehicle, receiving stolen property, two counts of possession of controlled/narcotic drugs, and default or breach of bail conditions. Officers were sent to Mirona Road for a report of a man going through cars. The caller found an item from his car in the road, according to the report. Ackerson was arrested later.

Jesse Annis, 27, of Woodland Avenue in Gilford, was arrested at 11:35 p.m. on Oct. 10, 2016, for driving while intoxicated and driving while intoxicated-second offense after a traffic stop on Deer Street and Portwalk Place. After field sobriety tests, Annis was arrested.

Kelly Dumont, 28, of Boudreau Lane in Stewartson, was arrested at 10:03 a.m. on Oct. 4, 2016, for simple assault, attempt to commit, resisting arrest, and receiving stolen property. Police were sent to Market Street for a report of a man alleging that a woman jumped into his van and stole his backpack. As she was running toward the Sheraton, she reportedly dropped the bag. Police spoke to the victim and witnesses and then arrested her at Maplewood and Prospect.

Ryan Elliot, 34, of an unknown address in Portsmouth, was arrested at 3:39 p.m. on Oct. 4, 2016, on a bench warrant out of Rochester for willful concealment. He was arrested at the Vaughan Mall.

Matthew Mercier, 50, of Franklin Street in Danvers, MA, was arrested at 11:47 p.m. on Oct. 3, 2016, for possession of controlled/narcotic drugs. He was arrested after a traffic stop at Middle Street and Miller Avenue. The driver reportedly consented a search of the vehicle and then, was arrested.

Kathleen Esposito, 31, of Kearsarge Way in Portsmouth, was arrested at 1:05 a.m. on Oct. 2, 2016, for simple assault, domestic violence-simple assault, domestic violence, stalking, and default or breach of bail conditions. A woman reported an assault at the intersection of Congress and Church streets. When they arrived, they found a woman with a head wound, and an ambulance was sent to the scene.

Matthew Valentine, 20, of Ridge Road in Kirby, VT, was arrested at 2:35 p.m. on Oct. 2, 2016, for unlawful possession of alcohol. Police were sent to Rockland Street for a report of a man “acting strange” with his shirt off while “watching children play soccer.” Police went to check on the man and took him into custody.

Christopher S. Tostenson, 39, of Thornton Street in Portsmouth, was arrested at 8:42 p.m. on Oct. 2, 2016, on seven counts of domestic violence-simple assault. A woman alleged that her boyfriend punched her and wouldn’t let her leave the house. They went to the home and arrested him.
