Pro Portsmouth Unveils 2026 Market Square Day Logo Ahead Of June Festival And Road Race (patch.com) — Portsmouth residents can look ahead to Market Square Day on June 13, featuring a 10K road race, live entertainment, and dozens of vendors throughout downtown. Pro Portsmouth has revealed a new logo by artist Carolyn Vibbert, and is now taking race registrations and volunteer sign-ups while also warning drivers about early-morning parking restrictions and towing that day.
2. Major Portsmouth project approved after McNabb changes course (seacoastonline.com) — Portsmouth’s Planning Board has approved a major redevelopment at 134 Pleasant Street that will add at least 22 apartments, office space, and Kennebunk Savings Bank’s state headquarters downtown. The revised plan keeps the bank and drive-through in the existing building, adds new underground and surface parking, and includes stormwater work under the Parrott Avenue municipal lot.
3. This Free Portsmouth Exhibit Celebrates Christa McAuliffe and 39 Other Inspiring NH Women (949whom.com) — You can visit a free “NH Women Trailblazers” exhibit at the Portsmouth Athenaeum downtown through June 20, celebrating Christa McAuliffe and 39 other influential New Hampshire women. Open Tuesday through Saturday from 1 to 4 p.m., the display highlights achievements across arts, education, civil rights, and more, offering Portsmouth residents an inspiring way to connect with statewide history.
4. GE Aerospace workers from Hooksett volunteer to spruce up Bedford Girl Scout camp (patch.com) — Portsmouth families can now register their kids for a local Girl Scout day camp, one of six summer camp locations across New Hampshire and Vermont. The program, open to girls from kindergarten through 12th grade, offers day and overnight options focused on outdoor fun, confidence-building, and leadership, whether or not they’re already Girl Scouts.
5. Salt air or fresh water: Where luxury buyers are investing in NH (laconiadailysun.com) — Portsmouth is highlighted as one of several Seacoast towns where luxury homes are now regularly selling in the multimillion-dollar range. The piece tours record-breaking waterfront estates from Rye’s Straws Point to the Lakes Region, showing how high-end buyers are reshaping New Hampshire’s most desirable coastal and lakefront communities.
